Clinical Marketing Manager

Summary: The Clinical Marketing Manager will help drive downstream clinical marketing initiatives for the Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) Procedure for Silk Road Medical. With the Vascular Surgery community as the primary customer, this role will work closely with our medical affairs and sales teams to develop and launch new best in class clinical marketing materials, initiatives and strategies for physician customers and our sales and clinical organizations.

The candidate in this position will conceive, develop, launch and train to new clinical marketing materials to support additional product sales and effectively broadcast the clinical value proposition of the novel TCAR Procedure. Listed below are some of the key deliverables for the Silk Road Clinical Marketing Manager:


  • Develop a deep understanding of the clinical data that exists today and in the future to drive clinical strategies and tactics
  • Create and launch clinically-based marketing materials to our field to support a deeper understanding of our procedure and outcomes
  • Act as the primary liaison between marketing and the office of medical affairs (OMA)
  • Lead external and internal clinical training events, field calls, regional sales meetings
  • Work closely with the vascular surgery community to strengthen current relationships and develop new TCAR KOLs
  • Lead the podium and publications strategies for marketing
  • Lead the output of all data to the field organization
  • Attend trade shows and events to capture physician feedback and promote the TCAR procedure
  • Monitor abstract deadlines and relevant talks at meetings to proactively plan for data release and promotion
  • Physician Training Support
  • TEST Drive marketing lead
  • Support local dinners, Centers of Excellence etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Marketing and senior staff of Silk Road Medical

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in the medical device space with a focus on clinical marketing, preferably working with vascular or endovascular specialists
  • A clinical knowledge of the vascular space with an ability to dissect, interpret and leverage new and existing data
  • Experience in managing a mix of digital and traditional marketing mediums
  • Professional work ethic, strong organizational skills, and ability to operate independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working with surgeons in the OR setting and/or endovascular specialists in the interventional suites
  • Sales experience an asset
  • MBA or MS in Science preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • The position is based in the home office of Sunnyvale, CA


  • May require travel up to 30% of time
