Assoc. Director, Marketing Communications


Summary: The Associate Director, Marketing Communications will be responsible for the tactical execution of the TCAR marketing strategy through consistent messaging and program execution. Core elements include:

  1. Collaborating with internal teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and external teams, such as brand agencies, to develop marketing programs with consistent messaging and branding, and
  2. Planning & implementing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple distribution platforms, including print, digital, events, and salesforce execution

The ideal candidate should be experienced in leading cross-functional projects, especially in a highly regulated and clinical environment. Success will require a creative mindset and an ability to manage projects, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Help develop marketing strategies to improve product awareness, brand perception, and corporate image
  • Foster strong relationships with key trade publications, medical conference organizers, and other key opinion leaders that may shape public perception
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate 3rd party activities to ensure successful project execution
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape a consistent and compelling message aligned to corporate brand guidelines
  • Oversee production and maintenance of MarCom materials and assets
  • Track and measure impact of marketing campaigns
  • Comply with all regulatory and clinical requirements in marketing materials and messaging

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

  • 5-10 years of marketing/communication experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in the vascular space.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to motivate and influence external stakeholders using indirect incentives
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills to track, measure, and report on campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Professional work ethic and ability to operate independently in an organized fashion
  • Social media savvy, especially Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat required, InDesign, Photoshop, and video editing skills preferred

Travel Required: 

  • The candidate must be flexible to travel 20%. Overnight travel, inclusive of workweek and weekends will be required

  • This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA and reports to the Director, Market Development
