Director, Commercial Analytics


Summary: The Director, Commercial Analytics is an individual contributor role within our Commercial Operations team that will be integral to designing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on US Commercial performance against goals. The role will report to the Vice President, Commercial Operations and Analytics and will work closely and independently with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, OMA and Operations team members to ensure goals are fully aligned on a cross-functional basis.

Responsibilities: 

  • Reducing uncertainty around business decisions
  • Ensuring the timely provision of dashboards/KPI reporting to enable fact-based decision making across the organization
  • Telling the “why” along with the “what” via creative and robust analysis and data visualization
  • Interacting with cross-functional partners to drive improvement
  • Developing and supplying actionable analyses on revenue and product trends
  • Combining 3rd-party with internal data to support targeting and company performance relative to the total available market
  • Designing, implementing and tracking incentive compensation plans
  • Designing field territories and customer alignments
  • Participating in the development of Commercial Operations initiatives
  • Supporting cross-functional partners in answering ad-hoc queries

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of Sales and Marketing analytical experience and leadership in medical device or pharma
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strategic focus while living in the details
  • Ability and willingness to identify and resolve problems without external guidance
  • Experience in compensation plan development
  • Experience in primary and secondary data analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
